An iconic cake is made from eggs, flour, butter sugar, raisins and candied fruits.
Panettone is more than just a Christmas tradition in Milan.
For many the Christmas season only starts when panettone starts being given.
Once the panettone is cut open, the bubbles produced during the rising must be regular and elongated and the candied fruits and raisins should be evenly distributed and soft.
The panettone should smell like butter, along with an intense, pleasant aroma of candied fruit. There is an essential ingredient: patience.
The mixing and leavening phases vary from a minimum of 20 hours to a maximum of three days.

4-футовый американский аллигатор был спасен в понедельник, 8 октября, на озере Мичиган после свидетеля, который плавал вблизи Вакигана, штат Иллинойс, США.
Далеко не каждый день поступают сообщения об аллигаторах в озере Мичиган.
Совместными усилиями отдела по контролю за животными полиции г. Уокиган и Larsen Marine Service Inc. был спасен найденный в Мичигане аллигатор и переведен в Центр изучения дикой природы в Лейк-Форест, штат Иллинойс. Обычно эти рептилии живут в пресных водоемах – от Северной Каролины до Техаса. По данным Флоридской комиссии по сохранению рыбы и дикой природы, аллигаторы становятся особенно активны, когда температура воды достигает от 82 до 92 градусов по Фаренгейту. Они перестают питаться, когда температура опускается ниже 70 градусов, а при 55 градусах и ниже – впадают в спячку. Температура озера Мичиган составляла 63 градуса по Фаренгейту.
